The Girl In The Moon |
Once upon a time I fell in love with the moon. And he burned so brightly he filled up the entire sky. I couldn't look away. And then, he was fading, until he was nothing but a sliver in the sky. And I couldn't understand what was happening. Surely if he knew how I felt, how my heart beat for him, how I would give anything to see him shine; surely if he knew, he would stay. But the next night he was gone. And I was alone. But then something happened. I found something bigger and brighter. Better than the moon itself. Something the moon had been hiding and something that refused to be hidden any longer. I fell in love with the cosmos. He is my sky and my stars and my morning and my night. I fell in love with the cosmos. And I never looked back. |
